Stinking up the Studio: How to make it reek in 30 seconds flat.
Yes, you read correctly. The best way to make a studio incredibly rank, incredibly quickly? Fresh mackerel. The other day in class our professor surprised us with 30 dead mackerel in a bag. We rinsed them off, laid them on tinfoil, and placed them directly under the heat of a light bulb. Who says we don’t suffer for our art? People were gagging! Four hours later, their bodies were stiff as boards and their skin was crinkly and crisp. It certainly was a fun exercise, and we all got some great paintings out of it.
