Damn!! I love Terry Eagleton. He seems to follow me around as he gave a guest lecture in Edinburgh during a summer class I took, and then again at York University a few years back at a conference I attended. And his talk are always great. If you haven’t read his autobiography yet, “The Gatekeeper”, I recommend it, as I do his newest book on Marx.
I’m really disappointed he didn’t phone me up after his talk to go for a Guinness

He was amazing-elegant, humble, and full of dry wit. I would’ve loved to have a pint with him and pick his brain too. Thanks for the congrats, and I will definitely check out his autobiography!
